Delivered new to Mr T Lee of Brookhaven Mississippi in February of 1967 with Burgundy exterior finish, Black interior with bucket seats, a Black convertible Top, Optional Wood Veneered console, Electric Clock, Pushbutton AM Radio with Manual Antenna, Custom Seat belts, and most importantly Custom Air Conditioning and accompanying Soft Ray Tinted Glass. Powered by Pontiacs 400 C.I.V-8 motor mated to the new Rochester 4-BBL Carburetor delivering 335 Horsepower Mated to a Manual Floor Shift 3-speed Transmission and WF Coded 3:23 ratio rear Axle. Further equipped with Power steering Power Brakes, Power Convertible top, Dual Side Mirrors with dealer installed reverb speaker controls. Through the years sold in 1990 from Mr Lee to Mr CJ Todd of Anniston Alabama. Transferred then to Mr RS Stoval of Stone Mountain Georgia in 1993 who then sold the car on to Mr G Spalding of Warm Springs Georgia with a recorded 20,986 miles on the odometer. Finally sold to the last owner of Bradenton Florida in 1998. During it’s tenure through the series of Southern owners the transmission was changed to a more sporting 4-speed GM floor shift gearbox.
A sound Southern Car with no concealing undercoating, a complete body-off restoration began in 2006 completed in 2013. Before photos, motor rebuild photos, and some restoration photos accompany the car. Used sparingly since, this GTO still carries its original WT coded rebuilt original motor and it’s 4-speed manual transmission mated to the 3:23 rear end. Sporting Rally 1 wheels as well as Original colors of Burgundy with Black Interior and Black Soft top were retained as was the fully refurbished original Air Conditioning system.
Showing in lovely restored condition with recently replaced new Firestone Redline Wide Oval “Bias-Ply Look” Radial Tires and an odometer reading of 28,437. Also accompanied by the Original Bill of Sale forms and accompanying Pontiac delivery documents and brochures, a PHS Pontiac Historical Documentation confirming original delivery colors and equipment, and following Ownership Documentation.
