1955 Cadillac Model 75′ Series Custom Limo by Derham that was purchased new by John D. Rockefeller JR. 841 Limousines were built. Only 2 of them were Derham body. John D. JR purchased them both. One was kept at their Long Island retreat and the other car was kept in New York City
Intended for Heads-Of-State and captains of industry. Cadillac’s Fleetwood Imperial Limousine is the most luxurious and expensive of Cadillac’s 1955 line. Out of a total production run of 140. 77 vehicles in 1955. only 841 were Fleetwood Imperial Limousines. This particular vehicle carries the very rare “X” (Style 7533X Imperial Business Limousine) on the body tag indicating that it was equipped from the factory with additional luxury items including a power divider window. It is finished in Dark Blue Metallic (Cadillac) with a Black leather top. No expense was spared in restoring the interior from dash to package shelf and from carpeting to headliner. Words cannot describe the luxury and opulence that one experiences when stepping inside. The drivers compartment is fully trimmed in gray leather. Behind the glass divider. the the passenger compartment. including the jump seats. is trimmed in gray broadcloth which is cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. The car has all of the power and luxury items that one would expect of a limousine. It also has jump seats. mood lighting. and more.
