1947 Cadillac one 0f one custom built 2-door woody “Nomad Styled” wagon
Custom designed wood sided Nomad Style 2-door body with chopped and lowered 1957 Chevrolet Station Wagon top fitted to a 1947 shortened (29″) Miller Ambulance frame with artfully crafted 2-door metal coachwork featuring Ash & Mahogany wood body paneling and wagon door opening upper & lower rear door. Rear fenders, taillights and gas door are provided from a 1948-49 Cadillac.
Equipped with period chrome trimmed sun visor and long and sleek metal and chrome 1940’s styled triple chrome accented rear side windows. Measuring 18′ 10 1/2″ with well crafted full wood interior of ash paneling throughout and wood slatted headliner. Precision leather crafted front bucket seats and a fold down comfortable leather crafted stitched rear seat folding down to continue the wood floor theme from rear door to front seats. Powered by a newer venerable Cadillac 429 V-8matted to a 4-speed automatic transmission riding on a comfortable Fleetwood suspension riding on 16″ wheels with dual system power disc braking to the front. Fully equipped with power steering, power breaks, and Vintage Air and Heating.
Driving very comfortable and easily with plenty of power ready to to used locally around town or on the road. Lucas Flame Thrower Fog Lamps and Tri-bar headlights are fitted for night driving.
Purchased from the Tami Allen collection in 2016 for the “Cadillac Sal” Collection in Sarasota Florida. Recently serviced for sale.
